Ingredients

  • 1 cup Black gram (urad dal) soaked overnight
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 cup Oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Drain the soaked black gram and grind it to a coarse paste.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the black gram paste, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin seeds, and salt. Mix well.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. 4. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  5. 5. Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. 6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
