  • 1 cup black sticky rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the black sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the coconut milk, sugar, and salt to the saucepan. Stir well and continue to cook for another 15 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or chilled.
