Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Basmati Rice rinsed and soaked for 30 minutes
  • 1 kg Chicken cut into pieces
  • 2 cups Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 large Onion sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Biryani Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 4 cups Water
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee

Instructions 

  1. 1. Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, biryani masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Heat ghee in a large pot. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. 3. Add the marinated chicken to the pot and cook until the chicken is no longer pink.
  4. 4. Add the soaked rice and water to the pot. Stir well and bring to a boil.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
  6. 6. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
