Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 large Onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced
  • 2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 2 cups Coconut milk
  • 1 cup Water
  • to taste Salt

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Add turmeric and chili powder, stir well.
  4. Add chicken pieces, cook until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour in coconut milk and water, bring to a simmer.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and let it cook for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  7. Season with salt to taste. Serve hot with rice.
