Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice rinsed
  • 8 cups Water
  • 2 pieces Chicken Breasts boneless, skinless
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fish Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon White Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions chopped
  • 1 handful Cilantro chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. 2. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the rice and reduce to a simmer.
  3. 3. Add the chicken breasts, salt, ginger, and garlic to the pot. Simmer for about 30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  4. 4. Remove the chicken breasts, shred them, and return to the pot.
  5. 5. Stir in the fish sauce and white pepper. Simmer for another 10 minutes until the porridge thickens.
  6. 6. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and cilantro.
