Main Ingredients
- 2 cups glutinous rice
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted
Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Drain the rice and steam it in a steamer for about 30-40 minutes until cooked.
In a saucepan, heat the coconut milk, salt, and sugar until dissolved. Do not boil.
Transfer the steamed rice to a mixing bowl and gradually add the coconut milk mixture, stirring to combine.
Let the rice sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the coconut milk.
Garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
