Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 2 Onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 inch Ginger, minced
  • 2 cups Tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 cup Water
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 handful Cilantro, chopped

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
  5. Stir in the tomato puree, turmeric, coriander, cumin, and red chili powder. Cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Add water and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
