Mon Style Chicken Curry Recipe
A flavorful and spicy chicken curry inspired by traditional Mon cuisine.

Main Ingredients
- 500 g Chicken cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
- 1 large Onion finely chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Ginger grated
- 2 tablespoon Curry Powder
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 400 ml Coconut Milk
- 1 cup Water
- 2 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground
- 1 handful Cilantro chopped, for garnish
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until onions are translucent.
Add curry powder and turmeric. Cook for another minute.
Add chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
Pour in coconut milk and water. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
