Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rice
  • 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 cups Water
  • to taste Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced ginger and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. 3. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
  4. 4. Add the rinsed rice to the saucepan and stir to coat the rice with the oil and ginger.
  5. 5. Pour in the water and soy sauce, and add salt to taste. Bring to a boil.
  6. 6. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
  7. 7. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
