  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • ¼ teaspoon Saffron threads soaked in 2 tablespoon warm water
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the rice and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the water, saffron with its soaking water, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
