Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sweet corn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of water
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions 

  1. 1. Bring the chicken broth to a boil in a pot.
  2. 2. Add the sweet corn kernels and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. 3. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the soup thickens.
  4. 4. Slowly pour in the beaten eggs while stirring the soup to create egg ribbons.
  5. 5. Season with salt and white pepper to taste.
  6. 6. Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
