Main Ingredients
- 500 g Taro Root peeled and cubed
- 1 cup Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Ginger grated
- 2 cups Tomatoes chopped
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
- 2 tablespoon Oil
- 2 cups Water
- 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Cilantro chopped, for garnish
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until onions are translucent.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
Add turmeric, cumin, coriander, and salt. Stir well.
Add cubed taro root and mix to coat with spices.
Pour in water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until taro root is tender.
Stir in garam masala and cook for another 5 minutes.
Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
