Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Yellow split peas soaked overnight
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Drain the soaked yellow split peas and blend them into a coarse paste.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the split pea paste, chopped onion, minced garlic, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. 4. Scoop small portions of the mixture and flatten them into patties.
  5. 5. Fry the patties in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. 6. Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. 7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
