Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Basmati Rice
  • 500 grams Chicken cut into pieces
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 2 large Onions sliced
  • 3 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 bunch Cilantro chopped
  • 1 bunch Mint chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  2. 2. In a large pot, heat the oil and fry the onions until golden brown. Remove half of the onions and set aside.
  3. 3. Add ginger garlic paste to the pot and sauté for a minute.
  4. 4. Add chicken pieces, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and garam masala. Cook until the chicken is browned.
  5. 5. Add yogurt, salt, and water. Cook until the chicken is tender.
  6. 6. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot. Mix well.
  7. 7. Cover the pot and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked.
  8. 8. Garnish with the reserved fried onions, chopped cilantro, and mint before serving.
